A bit about ourselves

WHO WE ARE

The catalysts who spark meaningful conversations and connections among parents

We are a group of parents who have gifted children in different grades and schools. We started this group in early 2020, when the pandemic Covid-19 forced schools to close and switch to remote learning. We felt the need to connect with other parents who understood the joys and challenges of raising gifted children, especially in these unprecedented times. We wanted to create a space where we could share our stories, questions, concerns, and resources with each other. We also wanted to support our hi-cap children’s academic, social, emotional, and creative needs during the pandemic and beyond. Even after the pandemic ended, we continued to meet online and in person, as we found our group to be a valuable source of information, inspiration, and friendship. We also organized various activities and events for our kids and families, such as activities, minecraft meets, coffee socials, and board game gatherings. Our group is open to any parent who has a gifted child or is interested in learning more about giftedness. We welcome parents from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. We hope you will join us and become part of our community.
